want to be, achieving success academically, career-wise
Scaling the heights of the rural-based girl child.
PAMOJA Girls COMMUNITY INITIATIVE assists vulnerable girls from rural areas to stay in school and complete their education while building their capacity in leadership and life skills through mentorship programs.
The organization has over the years evolved and scaled up its focus to include the provision of dignity kits to school going girls as a way of ensuring that these girls stay in school and such efforts were inspired by a spike in the number of cases of teenage pregnancies which results from the hard economic times and high poverty levels in the county that makes it hard to afford sanitary towels or prioritize girls hygiene at household level.
What we do
Menstruation & Hygiene
Lack of proper Sanitary wear force girls to stay away from school. We are giving girls in Kilifi county access to sanitary pads and disposal facilities.
Mentorship Programs
Mentoring young girls to be confident and be what they want to be, achieving success academically, career-wise and uptake of leadership positions.
Indigenous Knowledge
Emphasizing on the role traditional knowledge plays in the daily activities of the communities on their social, economic and political lives.
Skills Acquisition
Driven by gender inequality in Kenya, we are championing on skills acquisition in girls so that they can take up equal positions in career and leadership.
Entrepreneurship
Initiating programs aimed at women entrepreneurs so as to overcome the barriers that impact on their ability to start and grow their businesses.
