DAY 1 – MASAI MARA
Departure from Nairobi at around 6:00. Around 12:00 we will arrive at the entrance to the most beautiful natural reserve in Kenya: the Masai Mara.
The name comes from the Maasai people (who live in various areas of the plain) and the Mara River. From July to September it is possible to admire the unique spectacle of the wildebeest migration from the Serengeti to the Masai Mara. This is the only park where you can spot all 5 of the “Big Five” of the African savannah: lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and rhinoceros.
Also, here is the Talek River and Mara, populated by numerous hippos, Maasai giraffes, zebras, gazelles of different breeds, antelopes and other animals typical of this unique reserve.
We will arrive at the lodge/camp around 12:00. Here we can have lunch and rest until 15:00, time when we will leave for the afternoon game drive.
Return to our lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 2 – MASAI MARA (FULL DAY GAME EXPERIENCE)
6:00 am breakfast and depart with a delivery of lunch box for your lunch.
We start the game drive immediately and will stop around 13:00 under the trees to have lunch near the animals.
After lunch and a short rest, we continue with game drives until we return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 3 – LAKE NAKURU
6:00 am breakfast and departure to reach Lake Elementaita.
On the way there is the possibility of stopping at Lake Naivasha, where it is possible to do a boat safari of about an hour (EXTRA – not included).
Around 12:00 arrival at the lodge, delivery of the room and buffet lunch. Rest in the pool or room.
At 3.00 pm we leave for the game drive on Lake Nakuru, with a great chance of seeing rhinos and the suggestive flamingos on the lake.
We return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 4 – AMBOSELI
6:00 breakfast and departure to reach Amboseli. This park was created to offer shelter to animals and to counteract big game hunting that threatened to bring extinction to many animal species, such as the elephant, highly sought after for its ivory.
Arrival at the tented camp around 12:30, delivery of the room and buffet lunch. Rest in the pool or room.
We set off for the afternoon game drive at around 3pm and return to the camp for dinner and overnight stay.
After dinner, a show by a representative of the Maasai tribe.
DAY 5 – TSAVO EAST
6:00 breakfast and departure. Game drive to exit Amboseli park and reach Tsavo East, where you will arrive around 12:00.
Tsavo East National Park was established in 1948, and at 13,747 km2 is the largest African park in Kenya, with most of it open to the public, and the remainder dedicated to research. The main attractions include the Galana River, which runs through the Park and the Yatta Plateau, as well as several natural pools and dams used as watering holes by animals.
Around 13:00 arrival at the camp/lodge for room delivery and buffet lunch. Relax in your room or in the pool.
Around 3.45pm departure for the game drive until sunset, when you return to the lodge/camp for dinner and overnight stay.
DAY 6: WATAMU OR MOMBASA AIRPORT
6:00 am breakfast and departure. Game drive to exit Tsavo East park and head towards Watamu or Mombasa (airport), depending on the travel plan.
